Gary Richard Speth

Gary Richard Speth, age 81, of Flat Rock, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, January 05, 2024 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. He was born on May 19, 1943 in Knox County, Indiana, the son of Otto and Thelma (Delong) Speth. He was married to Rhetta Tapley, and she preceded him in death.

Gary served his country in the United States Army, during the Vietnam War. He worked as a laborer in the medical clinic at Crane Naval Base.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife; one daughter, Helen Sutton; three brothers; and one sister.

Survivors include three children, Donnie Speth and wife, LaDonna, Penny Dupire and husband, Vince, and Barbara Starnes and husband, David all of Vincennes, Indiana; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 1:00pm CST at Memorial Park Cemetery in Vincennes, Indiana, with Raji Hollifield officiating.
