Gary D. Jones, age 50, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away from congestive heart failure, Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Burgin Manor in Olney, IL. He was born July 22, 1962 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the son of Gail Eugene and Jane (Higgins) Jones.
Gary worked at Roadmaster in Olney and then was a van driver for Charleston Transitional Facility. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Mt. Carmel, IL.
Survivors include his mother Jane Jones of Lawrenceville, one son Austin Jones of Lawrenceville, two daughters Maisie Jones and Megon Jones both of Lawrenceville, one step-son David Evans of Lawrenceville, and four step-daughters Brenda Darnold and Jean Smalley both of Lawrenceville, Becky Smith of Lancaster, IL and Cheryl Caballero of Robinson, IL; two brothers Steven Jones of Lawrenceville and Jeff Jones of Decker, IN; and one sister Pat Holscher of Lawrenceville.
Funeral services are 1:00 PM Friday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 11 AM till the hour of service Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Southeastern Illinois with envelopes available at the funeral home.
