Garnett Gadau

Garnett D. Gadau, age 96, of Sumner, Illinois, passed away Monday, December 7, 2015, at Aperion Care in Bridgeport. She was born April 29, 1919, in Wabash County, Illinois, the daughter of Glenn and Hazel (Case) Dorney.  She married Richard Gadau in 1973. Garnett worked as a nursing assistant at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital for 10 years.  She attended the Baptist church. Preceding Garnett in death were her parents, her husband Richard and three brothers, J.T. Dorney, Wayne R. Dorney, and Orman Dorney. Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Mitchell of Indianapolis, IN and Sara Lou Cole of Round Rock, Texas; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. As per Garnett's wishes, her body is being cremated.  There are no formal services.
