Biography Frank "Hector Hogan age 91 of Lawrenceville,Illinois died Saturday, May 07, 2011. Frank was born June 18, 1919 in Bridgeport,Illinois to William Andrew and Alice Morrissey Hogan. Frank worked for various construction companies as a field accountant. He was a graduate of the University of New Mexico with a degree in accounting. He was a member of the University of New Mexico track team. In 1946 he was the Border Intercollegiate conference Champion in the one mile event. He was a member of the University of New Mexico Alumni Lettermans Ass. He served his country in Army during World War II. He was also a member of the Elks , American Legion and the Knights of Columbus. Frank had a special love for animals. He also enjoyed gardening. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Frank is survived by three nieces, Kathleen Jones, Patricia Hogan, Cathy Hogan, four nephews, David Hogan, Andrew Hogan, Tom Hogan and Tom McDemott. Also surviving are special friends and caregivers Roger and Connie Griesemer of rural Bridgeport,Il., and his faithful companion "Rags". A mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday morning 11:00 a.m. at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceville,Il. Friends may call Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:45a.m. at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville,Illinois. Burial will be conducted at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Lawrence County Humane Society or Hospice of Southeastern Illinois.
