Floyd Lavern Harmon

Floyd Lavern Harmon, age 93, of Frankfort, Illinois passed away on Thursday, July 07, 2022 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. He was born on September 04, 1928 in Salisbury, Missouri, the son of Fred C. and Fannie Lee (Hull) Harmon.

Floyd served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, and worked at National Gypsum/Gold Bond in Richton Park, Illinois. He was baptized in 1969 at Calvery Baptist Church in Frankfort, Illinois. Floyd was a Jack of All Trades, and enjoyed building and inventing things. He built his own home, without moving a single tree.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers; two sisters; and three children, Roger Dale Harmon, David Wayne Harmon, and Donald Lee Harmon.

Survivors include three children, Bob Harmon and wife, Vicki of Sumner, Illinois, Diana Harmon formerly of Frankfort, Illinois, and Luana Harmon of Frankfort, Illinois; two brothers, Roy Gene Harmon, Sr. and wife, Beverly and Ervin Curtis Harmon and wife, Dortha all of Frankfort, Illinois; four grandchildren, Vincent, Phillip, Elizabeth, and Erica Harmon; and five great-grandchildren, Ellie, Stephen, Bryce, Dawson, and Savannah.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 12:30 PM CDT at the Skyline Memorial Park Chapel, located at 24800 South Governors Highway, Monee, Illinois 60449. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the service hour of 12:30 PM CDT at the Skyline Memorial Park Chapel. Burial will be in the Skyline Memorial Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Harmon Family. Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
