Florence I. Foster

Florence Foster, age 97, of Bridgeport (formerly of Sumner) passed away Monday, February 14, 2011 at Lawrence Community Health Care Center in Bridgeport.Born, December 5, 1913 in Lawrence County, IL she was the daughter of Jesse Ellison and Della (Inyart) Mattoon. She married Leroy Foster, who passed away in 1975.Florence was a homemaker and a member of the Sumner Congregational Church.Survivors include one son Jon Foster of rural Sumner; one daughter Susan Foster of Sumner; two grandchildren Brett (Krista) Foster of Delaware, OH and Shawn Foster of Westerville, OH.Florence was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leroy, and five sisters.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner.Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.Burial will be in Cresthaven Memorial Park Cemetery.
