Evelyn Pargin

Evelyn Pargin age 86 of Lawrenceville, Illinois died Saturday evening at the United Methodist Village North Campus.Evelyn was born February 20, 1924 in Lawrence County, Illinois the daughter of John Cad Lockhart and Lela (Lockman) Lockhart. She married Charles Dale Pargin June 12, 1945 and he preceded her in death March 14, 2004. She is preceded in death by two sons Glenn Pargin and Mike Pargin, three infant sons, a grandson, two brothers and two sisters.Evelyn is survived by one daughter Sandra & husband Dale Rachell of Belleville,Il..Five sisters survive, Kathleen Miller of Portage, IN., Vera Kirkwood and Pauline Peg Kirkwood both of Lawrenceville,Il., Norma June Elliott of Alton, IL. and Mary Ann Mickler of Marshall, Illinois. Several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren also survive. Evelyn and her husband Dale owned and operated the Pargins Auto Service located on 15th St. in Lawrenceville, Illinois from 1952 to 1997. She was a member of the Billett United Methodist Church and was active in the United Methodist Womens Group.Funeral services will be Tuesday afternoon 1:00 p.m. at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Il. Visitation will be Tuesday 11:00 a.m. till the service hour of 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the United Methodist Church with envelopes available at the funeral home.
