Eva Jane Buchanan

Eva ‘Jane' Buchanan, 71, of St. Francisville, Illinois passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born January 28, 1946 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the daughter of Francis and Claudia (Noe) McNelly. She married Berlyn W. Buchanan on May 2, 1964 and he survives. Jane was a homemaker and child care provider. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Berlyn and Jane were foster parents for many children. Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Joe McNelly; and one sister, Reba Daffron. Survivors include her husband, Berlyn; one daughter, Katherine ‘Mariah' Morse and husband, Joseph, of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one sister, Mildred ‘Millie' Hedge of Bicknell, Indiana; five grandchildren, Shana Forshee, Sasha Newman, Brandon Newman, Cory Newman, and Jimmy Sexton; and three great-grandchildren, Aryn Hollis, Brenten Bridwell, and Sophie Lucas. Jane's wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 2:00 PM CST at the First United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
