Ethel Mae Judy

Biography Ethel Mae Judy, a resident of the United Methodist Village North Campus, Lawrenceville, passed away at 12:35 p.m. on Monday, May 25, 2015. Ethel was born on December 9, 1923, in Petty Township, Lawrence County, IL, the daughter of Earl Judy and Verna Ruth (Corrie) Judy. Ethel is survived by one nephew David William Kissel and wife Linda Ann Kissel of Lawrenceville. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Genevieve Ruth Kissel and Betty June Judy and an infant brother, Gail Judy. She attended Otterbein United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville and had been employed for 28 years as a telephone operator and worked for 28 years at the United Methodist Village. She enjoyed gardening and beautiful flowers. She told her nephew, David, on New Year's Day 2015, "Whatever comes, we take it and accept it". That was her life motto. Memorials can be made to the charity of your choice in lieu of flowers. There will be a graveside service only at Lawrenceville City Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2015.
