Esther Rich

Biography Geneva Esther Rich, age 97 of St. Charles, MO (formerly of Lawrence County, IL), passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014 in St. Charles, MO. She was born January 2, 1917 in Shoals, Indiana, the daughter of Noble and Bertha M. (Kearns) Cobb. She married William "Bill" Perry Rich on July 6, 1940 and he died October 15, 1987. Geneva was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Business and Professional Women Organization. She worked in the office at Suttle Apparatus in Lawrenceville. Preceding Geneva in death were her parents, her husband Bill, her son Daniel Rich; two brothers Garret Cobb and Noble Cobb; and one sister Isabelle Heckler. Survivors include a daughter-in-law Sharon Rich; one sister Doris Sieloff; two grandchildren Kimberly (Rich) Tucker and husband Michael and Jennifer (Rich) Wall and husband Tom. Seven great-grandchildren also survive Brittany Rich, Courtney Rich-Wilson, Makayla Wall, Leah Wall, Addison Wall, Bryce O'Brien, and Danni Wall. Funeral services will be at 1 PM Monday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Visitation will be from 11 to 1 PM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
