Estella A. Smith

Estella A. (Lockhart) Smith, 76, of Evansville, IN passed away Wednesday April 14, 2010 at Solarbron in Evansville. She was born August 10, 1933 in Lawrence County, IL the daughter of William Beecher and Cora B. (Seitzinger) Lockhart. She was married to Don A. Smith who passed away in 1996.She had worked at Peoples National Bank in Lawrenceville, IL. She also worked at Potter & Brumfield as Secretary, Western Southern Insurance, and the Princeton and Evansville newspapers. She was a former member of the May Chapel Church.She is survived by a daughter: Donna Jean Smith of Evansville, IN and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Don, brothers and sisters: Jewel Horan, Vera Mabel Lockhart, Gladys Neighbors, Dorothy Jacobs, Harriet Lockhart, Mary Kathryn Bentson, William Lockhart Jr., Percy Lockhart, and Verna Watson. The funeral will be Saturday at 11:00am at the May Chapel Church in Lawrenceville with burial to follow at the May Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is also Saturday from 10:00 until the service hour of 11:00am. Memorial donations may be given to the Food Basket at the United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville.
