Emmalou (Brian) Ruehrschneck

Emmalou (Brian) Ruehrschneck, age 68, of Vincennes, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born on February 16, 1956 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the daughter of Bobby D. and Peggy (Day) Brian. She married Gary Ruehrschneck on June 15, 1974, and he survives.

Emmalou was a cook for Unit #20 School District. She was an active member of the Pinkstaff United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included gardening, flower gardening, walking, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a very kind and caring person.

Preceding her in death were her parents and one sister, Mary Cawood.

Survivors include her husband, Gary; two children, Lori Ruehrschneck of Vincennes, Indiana and Jared Ruehrschneck and wife, Erica of Terre Haute, Indiana; two brothers, Jack Brian and wife, Norma of Kerrville, Texas and Bob Brian and wife, Tracy of Vincennes, Indiana; and two grandchildren, Olivia Ruehrschneck and Jaxon Ruehrschneck.

There will be no formal services conducted. Memorial donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity or the Pinkstaff United Methodist Church. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois.
