Elmer E Eagleson

Elmer E. Eagleson, 74, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away Saturday March 29, 2014 at his residence. Born October 31, 1939 he was the son of Ralph and Bertha A. (Hampton) Eagleson. On September 29, 1957 he married Norma Putnam. She preceded him in death on September 15, 2008. Elmer worked as a union carpenter for the Local #60 in Indianapolis, IN. He is survived by two sons: Allen and his wife Annette Eagleson of Lawrenceville, IL, Dennis Eagleson of Lawrenceville, IL, a daughter Debra and her husband Joe Dobbins of Dugger, IN, three brothers: Robert Eagleson of Lawrenceville, IL, Dewey and his wife Pauline Eagleson of Lawrenceville, IL, Earl Eagleson of Olney, IL a sister Doris and her husband Harry Ross of Indianapolis, IN, 11 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, and a great-grandchild. The funeral will be Wednesday April 2, 2014 at 10:00am at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be given to Good Samaritan Hospice.
