Elizabeth M. Hunt

Elizabeth M. Hunt February 18, 1917 - June 23, 2011 Elizabeth M. Hunt, age 94, of Lawrenceville passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011 at United Methodist Village-North Campus. Born February 18, 1917 in Somerset, Kentucky, she was the daughter of William O. and Otia (Dyer) McKinney. She married Rev. Willis Hunt October 5, 1932 and he passed away February 9, 2003. Elizabeth was a member of the 4th Street Weslyan Church. She and her husband were both ordained ministers by the Weslyan Association. They were missionaries to the Navajo and Hopi Indians. She taught Sunday School and was a member of the Missionary Society. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Rev. Willis Hunt, one son and two daughters, five brothers and four sisters. Survivors include one daughter, Margie Hunt, of Lawrenceville, one sister Joy Brock of Alexandria, OH, one brother Leonard McKinney of Dayton, OH, nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, IL. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00am until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to the Navajo Mission or Good Samaritan Hospice with envelopes available at the funeral home.
