Elizabeth Hastings

Elizabeth M. Hastings, 83, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville, Illinois. She was born November 10, 1932 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Frank and Elsie (Pilts) Boots. Elizabeth was a homemaker and enjoyed her cats. She was a member of the Glencoe Bible Methodist Church in Glencoe, Alabama. Preceding Elizabeth in death were her parents; one brother; one son, Richard Hastings; and one daughter, Linda Posth. Survivors include her sons, Steve (Susan) Posth of St. Francisville, Illinois; Howard (Laura) Stormes of Goodyear, Arizona; and Robert (Jerrie) Hastings of Vancouver, Washington; daughters, Deborah Martinez and fiancé Joseph Allen of Lawrenceville, Illinois and Cynthia Hastings of California; 21 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and special friend Chris Ballard. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Saturday prior to the service from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
