Elizabeth A. Grewell

Elizabeth Grewell, 78, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away Thursday June 25, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Vincennes, IN. She was born January 15, 1937 in Alden County, IL the daughter of George A. and Bernice L. (Mickle) Fink. She was married to Arthur H. Volling Jr. He preceded her in death. She then married to Paul Grewell and he also precedes her in death. Betty had worked for Uniroyal Tire Company in Joliet, IL. She also worked for several different trucking companies as dispatcher.. She worked as a courier at Puralator Courier Company. She worked at the Crawford Memorial Library and also at the United Methodist Village in the kitchen. She was a member of the Moose Lodge, the VFW, the Knights of Columbus, Job's Daughters, and the Lawrence County Senior Citizens. She was also an active member in Project Linus, the Red Hat Society, and was Grand Worthy Matron in Eastern Star, Share Foods, and the DAR. She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors in Wisconsin where she served as officer She is survived by a son: Steve Volling and his wife Brenda of Bicknell, IN, three daughters: Sue Fritz and her husband Glenn of Monticello, IN, Pam Cape and her husband Jeff of Reed, KY, Ann Hudek and her husband Frank of Lawrenceville, IL, nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband, two brothers and a grandchild are deceased. Betty's wish was to be cremated. There will be a Memorial Service Saturday July 25, 2015 at 11:00am at the First United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville, IL. Memorial donations may be given to the Lawrence County Senior Citizens or Good Samaritan Hospice.
