Elgin C. Jones

Biography Elgin C. "Butch" Jones, Sr., age 62, of Lawrenceville, Illinois died Monday, March 24, 2014 at his residence. He was born August 16, 1951, in Lawrence County, Illinois, the son of Elgin Jordan and Imogene C. (Jones) Gosnell. He married Edith Cessna on February 14, 1979 and she survives. Butch worked as a mechanic and truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Edith of Lawrenceville; two sons: Elgin C. Jones, Jr and Jordan William Jones (Tisha) all of Lawrenceville; two daughters: Christy Jean Warner (Jake) of Lawrenceville and Josephine Kay Jones of Vincennes, Indiana; one sister, Kathy Perrott (Terry) of Olney, Illinois; and ten grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Thursday at Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
