Edward Norman Loeb, 57, of rural Lawrenceville, IL passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at his residence. He was born November 25, 1952 in Lawrence County, IL the son of Herman L. and Betty S. (Simon) Loeb. He married Janette D. Middagh, January 7, 1990 in Evansville, IN . Along with his wife, he is survived by one daughter Betsy M. Loeb, age 18; three sons Benjamin H. age 16; Maxwell L. age 15; and Harrison S. age 12; two sisters Diane (David) Lebovitz of Morton Grove, IL and Laura Loeb and her husband Howard Morse of Potomac, MD. Ed was an independent oil producer and an attorney. He was president of the Board of Academic Foundation. He was president of the Sports Facilities Organization of Lawrence County. He served as treasurer for the Community Unit School District #20. He was a member of the Petrolia Water Board. He was a member the Temple Adath BNai Israel in Evansville, IN; Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Temple Adath BNai Israel in Evansville, IN with services from 6 to 7 p.m. A graveside service will be conducted Thursday afternoon at the Aaron Moshe Cemetery, Macomb County, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given to the Academic Foundation, the Sports Facilities Organization of Lawrence County or to a charity of the donors choice.
