Edward L. Gosnell

Edward Gosnell, age 69, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at his home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. He was born on June 15, 1952 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the son of Bill and Evelyn Gosnell. He married Sherry (Ferguson) Gosnell on June 21, 1971, and she preceded him in death on December 10, 2004.

He worked at Ambraw Asphalt for 20 plus years and was a member of the Lawrenceville Moose. He was an avid Bears and Cubs fan. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife; one son, Luke; four sisters, Shirley Beers, Clara Mathis, Delores Plummer and Shirley Ann Gosnell; and two brothers, David Gosnell and Donald Gosnell.

Survivors include two children, one daughter, Mia Ketron of Lawrenceville, Illinois and one son, Cody Gosnell and wife, Jessica of Lafayette, Indiana; three sisters, Freeda Hughes and husband, Barney of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Donna Smith and husband, John of Sumner, Illinois, and Sally Legg of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one brother, Bob Gosnell and wife, Barbara of North Carolina; mother-in-law, Jean Collins of Lawrenceville, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Tyson Gosnell, Lucas Gosnell, Waylan Gosnell, Olivia Gosnell, Lyla Gosnell, Madison Gosnell, and Gracie Gosnell; and one great-grandchild, Zayden Gosnell.

Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday September 7, 2021 at 11:00am at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
