Doris R. Dunning

Doris R. Dunning, 85, of Lawrenceville IL, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Vincennes, IN.   She was born July 6, 1930 in Lawrence County, IL, the daughter of Elmer and Ola Mae (Lockhart) Seitzinger.  She married Joseph Dunning on August 2, 1947 and he survives. Doris started at Golden Rule Insurance in 1969 and worked there for several years in state claims and was also a supervisor.  She was also an agent for Western-Southern Insurance in Vincennes, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include two sons, Craig Dunning of Lawrenceville, IL and Chris (Kimberly) Dunning of Evansville, IN; one daughter, Penny Shue of Newport, NC; and one sister, Mary Davidson of Lawrenceville, IL; four grandchildren, Kyle (Kim) Dunning, Cory Dunning, Laci Shue, Gabrielle Dunning; and two great-grandchildren, Cainen Dunning and Hunter Dunning. Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 10:00 AM at May Chapel Cemetery.  There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice in Vincennes, IN. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
