Donald Lee Shreve

Donald Lee Shreve, 58, of Jasper, IN (formerly of Lawrenceville, IL) passed away Tuesday December 14, 2010 at his residence. He was born May 15, 1952 in Lawrenceville, IL the son of William Burton and Mary Francis (Sheridan) Shreve. He married Janet Lathrop-Shreve on August 11, 2009. She survives.He worked at the Lawrenceville Daily Record for 30 years, and then The Herald in Jasper, IN for 16 years. He had served as Vice President of Indiana Newspaper Marketing and Indiana Newspaper Executive of Indiana Association.He is survived by two daughters: Shanda Shreve and her husband Paul Phillips of Jasper, IN, Danielle Shreve of Jasper, IN, a step-daughter: Amy Groccia of Valparaiso, IN, step-son: Travis Lathrop of Okinawa, Japan, two brothers: Bill and wife Pat Shreve of Lawrenceville, IL, Robert and wife Dottie Shreve of Fairfield, IL, a sister: Brenda and husband Louie Shelton of Lawrenceville, IL, three grandchildren: Dillon Blackwell, Robin Evans, Emma Zogleman, and two step-grandchildren: Adriene Shoulders, and AJ Groccia. Along with his parents, 2 brothers: Jim and Larry Shreve are deceased.The funeral will be Saturday at 10:00am at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 5:00 until 7:00pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be given to the Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center in Jasper, IN.
