Donald G. Hallbeck, 75, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away Friday December 28, 2007 at his residence.Born July 14, 1932 in West Salem, IL he was the son of Roland "Pete" Hallbeck and Mildred Woods Hallbeck Akers. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Kay (Umfleet) Hallbeck.He was owner/operator Hair Stylist for over 40 years. He was the owner of House of Charm Beauty Salon. He was also a bartender and part owner, with his parents, of the tavern now known as Syd's. He was a member of the Calvary Apostolic Church. He served in tehe US Air Force. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion.Survivors include 2 sons: Scott Hallbeck of Ownesville, IN, Joey Hallbeck of Lawrenceville, IL, a daughter: Lucinda "Cindy" Winders of Lawrenceville, IL, 7 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.The funeral will be Wednesday at 1:00pm at the Calvary Apostolic Church. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7pm at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
