Donald Ray Cochran, 78, of Micco, Florida (formerly of Lawrenceville), passed away Monday, December 1, 2014. He was born to the late Orval and Cornelia Cochran, January 10, 1936, in Lawrence County, IL. He was married to Rouleata "Rodie" Vaughn who preceded him in death. Don was a painting contractor in the Lawrenceville area for 30+ years and had been the owner of Cochran Paint and Wallpaper Store in Lawrenceville. He served on the Lawrenceville City Council, was a Freemason and belonged to the Elks, Moose and Eagles Clubs. Don is survived by his wife, Mary Cochran; three children, Lou (Cliff) Duncan of Micco, FL, Danny (Kathy) Cochran of Brownsburg, IN, Lisa (Scott) Lackey of Paris, IL and three stepchildren, Steven (Barbara) Raggo of Warrenton, VA, Alan (Beth) Raggo of Lawrenceville and Tabora (Glenn) Bobe of Milton, GA; one brother, Roger Cochran of Palm Harbor, FL, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sue Heath and a brother, Carl Cochran. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 21, 2015, at First United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville with interment of ashes at Lawrenceville City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Lawrenceville First United Methodist Church. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville is handling the arrangements.
