Dolores N. Green

Dolores Nadine Green, age 95, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away May 25, 2011 at United Methodist Village-North Campus in Lawrenceville. Born October 26, 1915 in Cunningham, Kansas, she was the daughter of Wiley and Alberta (Ellison) Doty. She married Carlyn Green and he preceded her in death. Dolores performed clerical work at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital. She was a bookkeeper. Dolores was a member of the BPW where she served as an officer and past president. She was also a member of the home extension. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister. Survivors include one son Lawrence "Larry" Green and wife Rowena "Posey" of Robinson, one daughter Leone Zehner and husband Charles of rural Lawrenceville; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Burial will be in Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. till the hour of service at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the United Methodist Village-North Campus Activities Dept. with envelopes available through the funeral home.
