Diana L. Scherer

Diana L. Scherer, age 65, of Bridgeport, Illinois, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born July 21, 1947, in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, the daughter of Samuel D. and Betty L. (Smith) Rigg. Both parents preceded her in death. Diana owned and operated her own beauty salon for 35 years. She was a member of Central Christian Church. Diana is survived by one son, Justin (Jodi) Scherer of Bridgeport; two daughters Stacey (Chad) Andrews of rural Lawrenceville and Wendy (Tyler) Warren of Indiana and seven grandchildren Nicklaus, Maci, Camille, Cailyn, Laci, Dallas, and Cody. Diana's wishes were to donate her body to science; therefore, no formal services are being conducted. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice or to the Lawrence County Cancer Resource Center with envelopes available through the funeral home.
