Diana M. Lawrence

Diana M. Lawrence of Lawrenceville, IL passed away Friday January 8, 2010 at the Richland memorial Hospital.She was born May 18, 1940 in Hammond, IN the daughter of Alderson and Emma (Yockey) Slade. She was married April 19, 1958 to Leon Lawrence. He survives.She worked as a cook at the United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville, IL. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, and the American Legion Auxiliary.Along with her husband, survivors include 2 sons: Rodney and his wife Nancy Lawrence of DuPont, IN, Robert Lawrence of Lawrenceville, IL, a daughter: Cheryl Greathouse of Seymour, IN, 2 brothers: Rick Slade of Hammond, IN, Steve Slade of Sullivan, IN, 6 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. A daughter Charlotte, 3 brothers and 2 sisters are deceased.A time of gathering will be Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00pm at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home.Memorial donations may be given to Good Samaritan Hospice or to Richland Care and Rehab.
