Dennis Michael Waller

Dennis Michael Waller, age 67, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at Deaconess Hospital, Evansville, Indiana, following several years of declining health and a very brief final illness. Born November 29, 1948, in Vincennes, Indiana, he was the son of Gola A. and Dorothy L. (Stone) Waller. Dennis graduated from Bridgeport Township High School, Bridgeport, IL, in 1966, after which he attended Vincennes University.  He served in the US Army, Corps of Engineers in Germany. After the service he attended Olney Central College.  In his work life he was an oil landman, business manager, and construction worker. Survivors include two sons, Justin C. Waller, San Antonio, TX, and Michael J. Waller, New Orleans, LA; his long-time companion, Mary Summers, Mt. Carmel, IL; four sisters, Shirley Crutchfield and husband Charles, Arnold, MO, Elaine Miller and husband Walter and Sandra Kincaid of Lawrenceville, Beth Davis and husband Tom of Hutsonville, IL; one brother, Jonathan Waller and wife Shirley, Kimberling City, MO.; five nieces and nine nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother-in-law, Norman Kincaid, and nephew Nathan Kincaid. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Monday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville.
