Deloris Stevenson, 88, of Lawrenceville passed away January 11, 2010 at United Methodist Village, Lawrenceville. Born December 22, 1921 in Crawford County, IL she was the daughter of Lee and Clara (Ford) Davis. She married Herman âLindsayâ Stevenson November 23, 1940 and he preceded her in death.Deloris was a member of Pleasant Ridge Christian Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher. She worked at the United Methodist Village in housekeeping for six years. She also worked at Ada Lee Candy Shop for seven years and was a homemaker.Deloris was a former Red Cross volunteer and a member of the Ladies Home Extension.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son Robert Stevenson, five brothers, three sisters, and one grandson Kevin Waggoner.Survivors include one son Terry and Debbie Stevenson of West Salem, IL; daughter-in-law Pam Stevenson of Woodland, WA; one daughter Linda and Dennis Fellows of Bicknell, IN; one brother Ernest âBuckâ LaVon Davis of Lawrenceville; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Friends may call Thursday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home.Burial will be in May Chapel Cemetery, Lawrenceville, IL.Memorials may be made to Multiple Sclerosis or to the Pleasant Ridge Christian Church. Envelopes will be made available through the funeral home.
