Thelma Deloris "Dee" Meadows Blocker, age 72, of Sumner, IL, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013, in Petersburg, IN. She was born February 12, 1940, to Orman and Velda (Boyd) Withrow. She married Wayne Meadows who died October 6, 1998. She then married Jack Blocker in 2004.
Dee worked as an optical assistant at Chitticks in Lawrenceville for many years.
Preceding Dee in death were her parents, her first husband, and one infant brother, Orman Dale Withrow.
Survivors include her husband Jack Blocker of Sumner, one son Steve Meadows of Petersburg, IN; one step-son Scott Blocker of Jasper, IN; two sisters Linda Weber of Summerfield, IL and Cindy Kite of Mt. Vernon, IL; six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday at Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner with burial in Cresthaven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
