David Michael Overbay

David Michael Overbay, age 49, of rural Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 in Sullivan, Indiana. He was born June 07, 1969 in Vincennes, Indiana, the son of Michael E. Overbay and Beth Chambers Waters. David worked as a self-employed carpenter. He was a Navy veteran serving from 1987 through 1991. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his dogs: Hog Head and Blue. Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Bertha Overbay; maternal grandparents, Floyd Eugene and Iris Jean (Wininger) Chambers; and one step-sister, Tori Lynn Overbay. Survivors include his mother, Beth Chambers Waters of rural Lawrenceville, Illinois; his father, Michael E. Overbay of Kansas; and one sister, Ginny Lynn Brower Petty of Washington, Indiana. David's wishes were to be cremated. There will be no formal services. Memorial donations in David's honor may be made to the Lawrence County Humane Society.
