Darrell Wayne Hershey

Darrell Wayne Hershey, age 62, of Allendale, IL, passed away January 1, 2013 at his residence. He was born December 26, 1950, in Lawrenceville, IL, the son of Jack Wayne and Mary Esther (Bloom) Hershey. He married Darlene Latham on December 22, 1968. Darrell was a farmer and worked for Grain Services, Inc. (GSI) out of Mt. Carmel, Newton, and Flora. He was a U.S.Army Veteran, having served as a helicopter crew chief for 10 years. Darrell was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Tammy Lee McCullough. Survivors include his wife Darlene of Allendale; two daughters Becky Sue (Mitch) Lewandowski of Plymouth, IN and Lynn (Rick) Newlin of St. Francisville, IL; one brother Jack Albert Hershey of Allendale, IL; one sister Sandy French of Louisville, TN; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. There will be no services; Darrell's wishes were to be cremated.
