Danny J. Kelley

Danny J. Kelley, 69, passed away on Thursday November 1, 2012 in Evansville, IN. He was born January 23, 1943 in Hoopeston, IL. to Clarence Kelley and Bess (Green) Kelley. He married Irma Wagner on January 2, 1966, and she survives. Danny was a design engineer and retired in 1982 from the U.S. Air force after 21 years of service to our country as a Senior Master Sergeant. Danny earned a Bachelors Degree of Science from Illinois State University. He was a member of the Christian Church in Hoopeston, IL., and the VFW. He enjoyed gardening, playing cards, hunting and was an avid fisherman, and he enjoyed his animals and writing. He also spoke several languages. Danny enjoyed learning history, and traveled to 21 different countries. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, son; David Kelley brothers; Russell, Tom Jim, and Ralph; sisters; Connie and Cheri Kelley. Danny is survived by his loving wife Irma; daughter: Rebecca(Benjamin) Berzinis of Houston, Texas, brother; Steve(Sharon) Kelley of Jadwin, MO, sisters; Peg (Bob) Clem Vicki Kelley and Lorraine McBeath of Hoopeston, IL., Wanda Thompson of Paxton, IL., Glela Dalrymple of San Bernardino, CA., Sally Goodwin of Phoenix, Az., June Beard of Rossville, IL., Darlene Davis of Norfolk, VA., Karen (Don) Meador of Norfolk, VA. , three grandchildren, mother-in-law; Pearl Wagner of Lawrenceville, IL. and several nephews and nieces. Graveside services with military rites will be at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 10:30 AM., there is no visitation.
