Daniel E. Moon, 66, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. He was born on December 12, 1950 in Huntington County, Indiana, the son of Ralph and Jeanne (Satterthwaite) Moon. He married Julia Land on December 22, 1984 and she survives.
Daniel was a truck driver for 40 plus years. He enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting.
Preceding him in death were parents.
Survivors include his wife, Julia; two sons, Daniel Ralph Moon of Uniondale, Indiana and Cory Michael Moon of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one daughter, Amy Lynn Seewald and husband, Rob of Etna Green, Indiana; two brothers, Tom Moon of Emison, Indiana and Ted Moon of Huntington, Indiana; two sisters, Kathy Moren of Greenville, South Carolina and Carmen Moon of Delaware, Ohio; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 11:00 AM CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in the May Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home for funeral expenses.
