Dale F. Jones, age 90, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024 at Bridgepointe Health Campus in Vincennes, Indiana. He was born on July 29, 1933 in Elk Garden, West Virginia, the son of Charles H. and Mary (Ravenscroft) Jones. He married Charleine Hornbrook on October 21, 1956, and she preceded him in death on April 16, 2009.
Dale served his country in the United States Army. He was a chemical engineer, and retired from Texaco. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and a lifelong member of the Elks, having served twice as Exalted Ruler.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife; and one brother, Roy Jones.
Survivors include two children, Deb Jones-Faris of Lawrenceville, Illinois and Jeff Jones and wife, Mindy of Savoy, Illinois; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be conducted on Tuesday, June 04, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM CDT at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lawrenceville Senior Citizens Center.
