Daisy M. Hodges, 93, of Lawrenceville, Illinois went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the United Methodist Village-North Campus in Lawrenceville, Illinois. She was born March 18, 1925 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the daughter of William Edgar and Mary Theadora (Young) Holmes. She was married to Perry Richard Hodges and he preceded her in death on February 1, 1979. Daisy was a homemaker. She was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Perry; three daughters, Linda Kuglar, Patricia Wright, and Mary Bartlett; seven brothers; four sisters; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, Bill Hodges and wife, Diane, of Garyville, Louisiana and Richard Hodges of Owensboro, Kentucky; two daughters, Pam Heckler and her late husband, Glenn, of Olney, Illinois and Joan Stevens and husband, Rodney, of Lawrenceville, Illinois; three brothers, Harold Holmes and wife, Karen, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Garold Holmes of Lawrenceville, Illinois, and Junior Holmes and wife, Ann, of Lawrenceville, Illinois; 20 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Zion Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Zion United Methodist Church or to the United Methodist Village-North Campus.
