Clifford Thomas 'Tom' Gerling

Clifford Thomas ‘Tom’ Gerling, age 75, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2020 at his residence. He was born on April 19, 1945 in Edwardsville, Illinois, the son of Mr. and Mrs.  Clifford Gerling. He married Penny Bolton on December 11, 2006 and she survives.

Tom worked as a baker before he moved to Lawrenceville in 1998. He enjoyed watching Law & Order and cop shows. He attended the Ivy Center for over ten years.

Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers; and one sister.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Andrew Gerling and Frankie Gerling; sons-in-law, Tim Kolb and wife, Courtney and Aaron Dormer; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 1:30 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville, Illinois, which may be viewed with the following link: https://www.facebook.com/jonas.a.hamilton/videos/10106734374252222 .
