Chiyoe Jones

Chiyoe Tatsumi Jones, 77, of Vincennes, IN died Friday December 23, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. She was born August 1, 1934 in Kawanish-Cho Nara Ken, Umedo, Japan the daughter of Iwakichi and Tamae (Hashimoto) Tatsumi. On June 21, 1955 she married George W. Jones. He preceded her in death on June 14, 1996. She is survived by three sons: James M. and wife Lisa Jones of Monroe City, IN, Joseph T. Jones of Chicago, IL, Steven R. Jones of Vincennes, IN, two brothers: Mamoru Tatsumi of Umedo, Japan, Tamotsu Tatsumi of Umedo, Japan, two sisters: Nanako Morii of Osaka, Japan, Machiko Morodome of Umedo, Japan, and three grandchildren. Chiyoe worked as a seamstress before retirement. She was a member of the Hi-Way Church of God. Private services will be conducted. Memorial donations may be given to the charity of choice.
