Cherie Mcbride

Cherie L. McBride, age 65, of Sumner, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at her residence. She was born June 10, 1949, in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Ernest N. and Wana (Arnold) Tarrant. She married Larry McBride on November 20, 1971, and he survives. Cherie worked at Crown Point CILA home in Sumner as a direct support person. Preceding Cherie in death were her parents and two brothers, Jack Tarrant and Kip Tarrant. Survivors include her husband, Larry, of Sumner; two sons Kip (Andrea) McBride of rural Lawrenceville and Cody (Amanda) McBride of rural Bridgeport; one daughter Susie (Gary) Smith of Nashville, Tennessee, as well as six grandchildren. The body is being cremated. A time of gathering for friends and family will be from 5 to 7 PM on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner.
