Charles Zanetis

Charles Zanetis, age 84, of Bridgeport, IL, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at his residence. He was born, August 29, 1929, in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin, the son of Steve and Ella (Arjerou) Zanetis. Charles owned and operated Charles Zanetis Producing. He enjoyed stock market investing, fishing, loved animals especially dogs and horses, was an excellent cook, and was very devoted to his family. Charles was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. Other memberships include the Elks, Moose, and VFW. He was a veteran with the United States Air Force. Preceding Charles in death were his parents, one son Michael Brooke Zanetis,three brothers John, Alex, and Mike and two sisters Georgia and Mary. Survivors include a son, Chris (Emily) Zanetis, of Brownsburg, Indiana; a daughter Laura (David) Post of Tyler, Texas; three sisters Florence Zanetis of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Helen Nelson of San Antonio, Texas and Catherine Boxill of Berkley Heights, New Jersey and six grandchildren Amy Zanetis, Emily Zanetis, William Post, Tyler Post, Katelyn Post and Joseph Post. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 AM Saturday, June 28, 2014, in Lawrenceville City Cemetery. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lawrenceville Elks #1208 Veterans Fund with envelopes available through the funeral home.
