Charles R. Tracy, age 79, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at his residence. He was born on November 12, 1941 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the son of Elmo G. and Gertrude (Pietrowski) Tracy.
Charles retired from Marathon Pipeline as a pumper. His memberships included the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Elks, Moose; and he was a lifetime member of the NRA. His hobbies included hunting and fishing; and he was an avid John Wayne fan.
Preceding him in death his parents and one sister, Dorothy Jones.
Survivors include two children, Tony Tracy and wife, Kim and Chrissy Benson and husband, Tom all of Lawrenceville, Illinois; five grandchildren Laura Abell and husband, Kenny, Rebecca Tracy, Jacob Benson, Zachary Benson and wife, Kourtney, and Brady Benson; and two great-grandchildren, Maverick Benson and Marley Benson.
There will be no formal services conducted. Memorial donations may be made to the Lawrence County Humane Society. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
