Charles P. Huddleston

Charles P. Huddleston, 82, of  Lawrenceville, IL passed away October 23, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes, IN.  He was born July 29, 1926 in Lawrence County, IL the son of Aubrey E. and Martha Jane (Thompson) Huddleston.  He married Mildred Funke December 24, 1949 and she survives.Charles was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Lawrenceville.  He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a lifetime member of the Elks.  Charles worked as a manager for Illinois Gas Company where he had worked for 46 years before retiring.He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.Survivors include his wife (Mildred); two daughters Kathleen (Jesse) Keyser of Edwardsville, IL and Susan (Matthew) Berg of La Grange, IL, as well as four grandchildren.The funeral will be Tuesday at 10:00 am at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home.Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at the funeral home.Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
