Charles Harris

Charles E. Harris, age 71, passed away at September 6, 2010 at his residence in Lawrenceville. He was born October 29, 1938 in Burns City, Indiana the son of Paul and Esther (Byrer) Harris. He married Judith Sparks September 29, 1962 and she survives.Charles was a member of Central Christian Church. He worked in maintenance at Golden Rule and Lawrenceville Manor.Charles was preceded in death by his parents.Survivors include his wife Judith Harris of Lawrenceville; one son Jeff and Fran Harris of rural Flat Rock; one daughter Melissa and Russ Tewell of Robinson, IL; two brothers Randall Harris of Indianapolis, IN and Harold Harris of Columbus, IN; one sister Martha Gillichbauer of Redding, CA; and two grandchildren Ryan Tewell and Amy Tewell.A time of gathering and remembrance for family and friends will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service of 12:00 Noon at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home, 1303-12th Street, Lawrenceville, IL.
