Charleine Bernice Jones

Charleine Bernice Jones, 71, of Lawrenceville passed away Thursday April 16, 2009 at her residence.She was born May 30, 1937 in Cumberland, MD the daughter of Charles and Madaleine (Vogt) Hornbrook. On October 21, 1956 she married Dale F. Jones. He survives.Charleine was a homemaker. She also worked at the Lawrence County Health Department with the WIC Program and retired after 11 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville, IL. She was active with the Camp Fire Girls and was a member of the Prairie Maids Home Extension.Along with her husband, she is survived by a son: Jeff and his wife Lisa Jones of Leesburg, VA, a daughter: Debbie Jones-Faris of Woodward, OK, 4 grandchildren: Austin, Rory, and max Jones and Kate Faris.The funeral will be Monday at 10:00am at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home.Memorial donations may be given to Good Samaritan Hospice or to the Lawrence County Senior Citizens.
