Cecil L Mckeighen

Cecil L. McKeighen, age 98, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025 at The Haven of Bridgeport.  She was born on November 20, 1926 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the daughter of Frank Rushing and Maude Lee Eagle Rushing.

Cecil worked for the City of Lawrenceville Water Department for 18 years and the dry cleaners in Lawrenceville.  Cecil also attended beauty school and worked as a beautician.  She attended the Wesleyan Christian Church on 6th Street.  She enjoyed crocheting, attending dances with her sister Mary Lee, taking care of her lawn and home, and most of all her time spent with her faithful companion Fluffy.

Preceding Cecil in death were her parents, her siblings Earl Rushing, James “Skip” Rushing, Thelma Worley, Mary Lee Pinkstaff, and Betty Mae Stanker.

Cecil is survived by a son Michael McKeighen of Champaign, Illinois along with nieces and nephews.

Private services will be conducted.
