Carrol 'Jake' Spillman

Carrol ‘Jake’ Spillman, age 89, of Oblong, Illinois passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at the Ridgeview Care Center in Oblong, Illinois. He was born on June 01, 1931 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the son of Delbert and Geneva (Poland) Spillman. He married Nancy Main on August 04, 1956, and she preceded him in death on September 06, 2007.

Best known as Jake, a name he acquired in the military, when he served a tour in Germany with the United States Army. He was a retired welder. He loved to hunt and raise Border Collies.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife; and one son, Brad Spillman.

Survivors include two sons, Kirk Spillman and wife, Cindy and Larry Spillman; one daughter, Penni Honey; and two grandchildren, Keisty and Jacob.

The body will be cremated and no services will be conducted. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
