Carole J. Curts

Carole J. Curts, age 66,  passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010 at 6:10 pm after a three-year battle with cancer.   Born July 13, 1943 in Bridgeport, IL she was the daughter of Robert and Eva (Merrell) Ridgley.  She married Mike Curts November 10, 1961 and he survives.Carole worked in the office for Marathon Oil Company and then worked for Plains Oil Company until retirement.  She was a member of the Womenâs Legion Auxillary.Carole was preceded in death by her father and a nephew Brandon Smith.Survivors include her husband Mike of Bridgeport; her mother Eva Ridgley of Vincennes, IN; children Joe and Lisa Curts of Sumner, IL and daughter Sydney; Chuck and Tina (Curts) Dunkin of Warner Robins, GA and their children Tylor and Brittney; Terry Curts of Sumner, IL; Marc and Michele(Curts) Fleck of Vincennes, IN and their children Monica Montgomery, Madison and Mabry Fleck; one brother Larry Ridgley; mother-in-law Mary (Diver) Curts of Bridgeport; sister-in-law Jane Smith of rural Lawrenceville; and three nephews, Greg and Dawn Ridgley, Jeff and Cheryl Ridgley; and Lance Smith.Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at Shiloh Cemetery southwest of Bridgeport. There is no visitation.Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice with envelopes available at the funeral home.  Â
