Carmen L. Ericksen

Carmen L. Ericksen, age 74, of Birds, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Richland Care and Rehab in Olney, Illinois. She was born August 27, 1951 in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, the daughter of Joseph Raymond Beard and Shirley M. Ferguson Vogel.

Carmen was in nursing. She enjoyed rummage sales, crocheting, picking fruits and elderberries, rock hunting, junking, spending time with her dogs and cats, riding motorcycles, going to concerts and listening to music, spending time with her family, astrology. She loved turquoise jewelry.

Preceding Carmen in death were her parents; sister, Suzanne Beard; son-in-laws Christopher Randall and Micheal Kiefer; granddaughter Hanna Danielle Kiefer.

Survivors include her children: Jessica (Ron) Lynch, Nicole Randall of Michigan, David (Angela) Christine of Oblong, Brent (Crystal Lewis) Lamb of Claremont; life partner, Dennis Carroll; siblings, Greg (Teresa) Ericksen of Sumner, Aaron Von “Toby” Ericksen of Birds, Marc (Tammy) Ericksen of Casey; twenty-four grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Secedar Cemetery, west of Flat Rock.
