Carla Jean (Parker) Goebel

Carla Jean (Parker) Goebel, age 59, of Bridgeport, IL passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Born September 5, 1951 in Vincennes, IN, she was the daughter of Lawrence W. and Roberta W. (Westfall) Parker. Carla was of the Methodist faith. She was a graduate of Olney Central College in Computer Technology and Medical Office Assistant. She worked as a bookkeeper for 31 years. Carla was preceded in death by her father and one sister Camby Lynn Lynch. Survivors include her mother Roberta W. (Westfall) Fitch and husband Walter Fitch, Sr. of Madisonville, KY; two daughters Roxie Lynn (Blubaum) Hill and husband Dennis of rural Bridgeport and Alisha Lawren Goebel and boyfriend Joe Gill of Northlake, IL; four brothers V. Clifton Lynch and wife Tammy of Madisonville, KY, J.D. Parker and wife Lisa of Martinsville, IN, Michael W. Parker and wife Sara of Monrovia, IN and Kenneth Lamkin and wife Peggy of Texas; one sister Vicki L. Brier and husband Michael of New Albany, IN; two grandchildren Layne Austin Hill and Lexie Leigh Hill both of Bridgeport; along with several nieces and nephews and several very special friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home, 1303-12th Street, Lawrenceville, IL. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the family.
