Buck Seed

Everett M. "Buck" Seed, age 87, of Lawrenceville, Illinois died Sunday, November 16, 2014 at his residence. He was born August 20, 1927, in Lawrenceville, the son of Roy Everett and Marie (Cummins) Seed. He married Barbara Richardson who preceded him in death. He then married Mary Jane McPhail and she survives. Buck worked for the City of Lawrenceville in the Sewer Dept. He also worked in construction. Buck was a member of the First Church of God in Lawrenceville. Preceding Buck in death were his parents, his first wife Barbara, one son Danny Seed, one daughter Carol Schaeffer, one brother John Seed, four sisters Bonnie Jacoby, Jessie Seed, Helen Adams and Lottie McKeighen, and one grandson J.D. Robinson. Survivors include his wife Mary Jane of Lawrenceville, three daughters Vicky Butler and Marty (Jerry) Robinson of Lawrenceville and Jeanne (Virgil) Jerrell of Flat Rock, two step-sons Bill Wheeler and Jim Wheeler both of California, two sisters Nancy Seitzinger and Peggy Richardson both of Lawrenceville, 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1 PM Wednesday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Visitation will be from 11 to 1 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Lawrenceville Senior Citizens with envelopes available through the funeral home.
