Brianna L. Cox

Brianna L. Cox, age 46, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, July 07, 2024 at the Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville, Illinois. She was born on November 18, 1977 in Effingham, Illinois, the daughter of Jimmie C. and Mary Kathleen (DeBoeuf) Cox.

Brianna worked for a restoration company, Walmart, and in administration for a nursing home. She enjoyed gardening, listening to music, attending concerts, doing arts and crafts, and fishing with her brother, Travis. Her family was her life. She was a genuine and adventurous person, and always enjoyed helping people when she could.

Preceding her in death were her paternal grandparents, James and Laura Cox; maternal grandparents, John and Betty DeBoeuf; and niece, Madison Johnson.

Survivors include her parents, Jimmie and Kathy Cox of Lawrenceville, Illinois; two brothers, Travis W. Johnson and wife, Monica of Sumner, Illinois and Mark R. Johnson of Macomb, Illinois; niece and nephews, Cole Johnson, Allie Johnson, and Sladen Johnson; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as her K-9 companions, Zoe and Zena.

A visitation will be on Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM CDT at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. No funeral service will be conducted. Memorial donations may be made to the Lawrence County Illinois Humane Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
